About Jim

Jim is an outstanding 200m athlete who holds the Masters World Record for the 4x100m. He started the season very strong indeed and looked set to run a very fast time but crashed out of the Midlands Champs due to injury and couldn’t race or train again until the World Masters Champs 6 weeks later. Through sheer determination he progressed through each round of the World Championships to the final, where he came a momentous sixth place, far ahead of anyone’s expectations. He went on to win two gold medals with the Great Britain relay team, snatching the British Record for the 4x400m. For next year he is aiming to go much faster than in 2009, if he stays uninjured he hopes to dip below 22 seconds for the 200m. He looks to become British Masters Champion at 100m and 200m and win a medal at the European Masters Champs in Hungary in 2010.
