TAC Ladies scoop the prizes at The 2009 Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon.
Claire Martin wins the ladies race with Nellie and Michelle finishing 6th and 8th.

A group of TAC road runners took part in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon. The ladies did exceptionally well with Claire, Nellie and Michelle winning the ladies team prize.Claire won the ladies race (78:53). Nellie was 6th with a time of 86:35 achieving a PB. Michelle Clarke, on her debut for TAC ran 88:40. Juliet Hoad 1:42:12. Emma Davies, returning to the race circuit, 1:54:06.
The TAC boys missed out on the team prize by only one point. Tony Power had an excellent run to come in 7th place in a time of 74:43. Hot on Tony’s tail was Richard Lucock finishing 17th in a time of 77:08. Johnny Sanders (not accustomed to longer distances) ran 79:44. Gary Vickers 79:48. Paul Williams 80:59. Bruce Gregory 95:38. Phil Evans 98:13. Gary Williams 99:04. Alan Hodgkiss 1:49:36. Ray Power 2:13:17. Roger Sandland 2:14:04. Paul Ward, running for Wrekin Road Runners finished 3rd overall in a time of 70:23.
This was a brilliantly organised race. A credit to Doug’s family. Well done Margaret! Some of us went up and had our pictures taken on Doug’s bench.
